General TOS/Licences for my projects that don't have a different licence.

Preamble/Explanation

This licence aims to make sure that the work is being used for good, while not being too restrictive. The TL;DR is that you shouldn't use this for harm, basically.

Definitions

Terms of licence redistribution

You are free to redistribute this licence unmodified, however you must change the name if you want to modify it, with the exception of changing 'I' to 'we'.

The user must give appropriate credit to the licensor, provide a copy of this license or a (clickable, if the medium allows) link to https://wilburwilliams.uk/licence.

'I', 'me', 'we', 'us' refers to the creator/creators of this work.

'Users' refers to anyone visiting a website I made or using software where I am the primary contributor.

Terms

0. This notice must be included in any redistributions, modifications, or copies of the software.

1. No one shall use anything I made to promote prejudiced or bigoted views or for prejudiced or bigoted purposes.
This can include, but is not limited to: ableism, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and misogyny.

2. You may not use the software to develop, manufacture, maintain, or launch nuclear, chemical or biological weapons. (inspiration clause 11)

3. Do not pass the software off as your own, even if you have made changes, unless it follows these TOS and still refers to the original creator(s) of the work in credits prominently visible in the README file or licence document.

4. The software may not be used by any immigration enforcement entities, military entities, or military contractors.

5. Unless the user has made large contributions to the software, or uses a small part of it only as a part of a new piece of software or catalogue, they are prohibited from selling the software. That prohibition includes processing the software with machine learning or artificial intelligence models, unless the model is open source as defined by the open source initiative, uses this licence, or uses the Opinionated Queer Licence.

6. The software may not be used by anyone who's a member of the the US 'Republican' Party, the UK 'Reform UK' party, the German 'AfD' party, or works at a right-wing think tank such as 'The Heritage Foundation' or 'The Heartland Institute'. This applies unless the software has been included within a larger software package (e.g. an operating system).

7. The software may not be used by an authoritarian government under any circumstances.

8. No one may use this software to inflict or facilitate violence or abuse of human rights as defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
